The test is recommended for persons wishing to engage in winter swimming, or those who are going to start swimming in the waters immediately after the melting of the ice, before classes procedure a contrast shower.
• in a sitting position, measure the pulse for 1 min;
• then in a basin of water (temperature 10-12 C) lower the foot and sit in this position for 3 min;
• for the first minute of leg cooling, count pulse for 1 min;
• then take out the legs from the water, put on a dry mat and wait 2 min;
• for the 3-d min again count the pulse for 1 minute.
